Child Welfare Policy Filey Sailing Club


The aim of Filey Sailing Club is to create a safe and welcoming environment for children and young people, both on and off the water, where they can have fun and develop their skills and confidence.

RYA Dinghy Sailing Level 1/2

We will be running two RYA Dinghy Sailing Level 1/2 Courses or Junior Level 1/3 in 2010.


Saturday 29th May to Wednesday 2nd June.

Saturday 7th August to Wednesday 11th August.


Full and Junior membership of Filey Sailing Club is included and successful candidates will receive an RYA Level 2 Dinghy or Junior Level 3 Certificate with Coastal Endorsement.

On completing the 5 day course, they are able to use the clubs dinghies, for further practice, for the remainder of the season, with the permission of an Instructor to ensure the weather conditions are suitable.

We provide RYA Course manual and logbook, buoyancy aids. A rescue boat is on the water at all times.

The cost of the course is £275 for adults and £175 for those under 18.
